Minority Small Business Person of the Year for Region III

Alexandria, VA, September 6, 2011 – Carlos Del Toro has been selected as the Minority Small Business Person of the Year for Region III of the country by the US Small Business Administration. Mr. Del Toro is the president and CEO of SBG Technology Solutions – an 8(a) SDVOSB headquartered in Alexandria, VA providing IT, functional, and program support for a wide variety of Government clients across the country.
This selection was made in anticipation of this year’s 29th annual Minority Enterprise Development Week conference to be held in Washington DC from September 27th through the 30th. Co-hosting this conference are the US Small Business Administration and the Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency.
In hosting top minority small business owners from across the nation for discussions of issues in the field, emerging legislature, and shared experiences, the conference will be recognizing top business persons from each of the 10 regions of the country. These are leaders and innovators from various backgrounds who will be recognized for their accomplishments by the SBA.
As the selection for Region III, Mr. Del Toro was chosen among candidates from DC, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Of these 10 regional selections, a single business person will be selected at this year’s conference to be named the National Minority Small Business Person of the Year.
