ALEXANDRIA, Va. – August 8, 2014 – In honor of his service to our nation as a Veteran and the multiple contributions of SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the White House invited Carlos Del Toro, President and CEO of SBG, to attend the signing of H.R. 3230, a VA bill to fund the Department of Veterans Affairs and help increase access and quality of care for Veterans. Del Toro, a former Naval Officer and White House Fellow, attended the signing ceremony August 7, 2014 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

SBG has supported the VA for many years and currently supports the VA’s VistA Evolution Program charged to provide interoperability and modernized clinical capabilities to the VA electronic health record. The updated VA system will be interoperable with the electronic health systems of the Department of Defense and other healthcare partners and will enhance patient-centered, team- and evidence-based care for Veterans.

In addition, SBG has supported, in varying roles, the VA’s 21st Century Medical Scheduling Initiative, Bed Management System, Blue Button Initiative Development Center, Enterprise Risk Registry System, Enterprise Mobile Applications Integration and Planning, My HealtheVet, Surgical Quality Workflow Management, and Veterans Health Information Technology Communications, among others.
