SBG Leads Open Source Initiatives

February 27, 2013 – SBG proudly supports the Twenty-First Century Medical Scheduling Contest with the Department of Veterans Affairs, a key component of the VA’s transformation of its approach to information technology. The antithesis of the traditional internally focused approach to IT, the contest is an outreach to the technical community at large seeking the very best ideas and capabilities available. Underscoring the VA’s commitment to open source software, this outreach is focused on the two primary goals of assessing the current state of the art in medical scheduling and providing a conduit by which the VA can access the creativity and innovative capacity of the software development community. SBG supports this initiative by providing a variety of comprehensive contest support services.
