SBG Awarded Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) Claims Processing System Support (CPSS) Contract

As the prime on the CPSS contract, SBG will lead a top-notch team comprising the incumbents on the preceding contract, including Favor TechConsulting, LLC., Grant Thornton, LLP., and IBM, as well as Dynamic Government Resources, LLC. in helping CCPL address the growing requirements of IVC.

The IVC CPS operates as the central repository for IVC claims data and provides data integrity, reimbursement validation, revenue recovery processes, and analytic functionalities that provide meaningful analyses to reduce improper payments. As the IVC Claims process grows and new programs are added, CPS must remain configurable and scalable to meet evolving business needs. Team SBG will shepherd this evolution, ensuring the automated processing of invoices from validation to payment, including the verification of payment accuracy of invoices submitted by the contracted Community Care Networks (CCNs) and future partners.

(SBG) is very pleased to announce it has recently been selected to continue supporting the Mobile Technology and Endpoint Security Engineering Team within the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on the VA Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) contract.

SBG has, in close collaboration with VA’s Solution Delivery (SD) team, managed all aspects of operations and maintenance (O&M) for VA’s mobile device environment, supporting approximately 75,000 devices. This support has included planning, managing, and executing the transition of the mobile device infrastructure to the VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC). It also includes securing an Authority to Operate (ATO) within the cloud, obtaining licenses for and implementing certificate-based authentication (CBA) on supported devices, and procuring, distributing, and managing licenses for endpoint protection on all enrolled devices. This award ensures on-going, high-quality support of both O&M for the environment and over 200,000 licenses for mobile threat prevention personal identity verification.

VA SUD Treatment Proof of Concept Program, supported by SBG, is recognized with FedHealthIT Award

Alexandria, Va., July 3rd, 2018- SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. (SBG) is proud to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Proof of Concept Program, which was recently honored as one of 26 recipients of the 4th annual FedHealthIT Award.

The SUD Treatment Proof of Concept, under the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) Center for Compassionate Care Innovation, will provide increased access to care for up to 1,000 Veterans diagnosed with alcohol and opiate addiction, who would otherwise have limited care options. The Program will further provide a framework and guidelines for scaling the approach across VHA, based on a highly successful model for addressing SUDs developed by VA’s Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 2 in collaboration with the Loyola Recovery Foundation. The Program integrates a range of clinical treatment options with a digital application to assist in recovery, predictive analytics, ongoing support, and relapse prevention.

Department of Veterans Affairs EHRM

The EHRM initiative will transform and revolutionize VA’s electronic health record (EHR) system by adopting and integrating the Cerner commercial software system throughout the Department. In June 2017, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs announced that by embracing the Cerner solution, VA would leverage the experience and expertise of the Department of Defense, which is already deploying the Cerner EHR system. In announcing that decision, the Secretary highlighted VA’s legacy of “leading innovation in information technology systems.”

The VA EHRM acquisition and implementation effort will include software licensing, product integration, configuration management, testing, deployment planning, hosting, organizational change management, training, sustainment and a myriad of other efforts necessary to support an enterprise-wide business transformation. SBG’s core contributions to the EHRM Program will focus on providing Program Management Office support, including planning and implementing the overall EHRM solution.
